Dungeon Crawl Classics is inspiring me way more than #dnd #5e these days. DM'ing 5e feels like steering superheroes around and fulfilling power fantasy. Dangerous fights are boss battles. #DCC feels like you're on the razor's edge. You have to think / play through adventures a little more, and combat is super dangerous. It helps keep the scale of adventures focused, and I think that helps me as a DM. I'm still exploring and learning, but I really like it.
