• :neocat_angel_pleading: Install KarabinerElements for that PT keyboard … no, you can't have a ^ on it …
• :neocat_bongo: Avid account deadname removal.
• iLok USB dongle activation hassle.
• :neocat_drake_like: Install ProTools. Studio environment & hardware assignment.
• :neocat_facepalm: Import audio to make PT crash.
• :neocat_drake_dislike: Reboot ffs & retry to make it crash again.

I must say ScriptSync AI in #Avid works remarkably well even in my language that is not natively supported (Czech). It probably runs on Whisper like everything else.

Finally found a way to transfer timelines between #Resolve (so, everything) and #Avid both ways with only linked media (original camera files) via AAF, without generating any new media files. Took me like 6 hours (to find out, not to do) but did it!

#Avid 2024.12 has implemented waveforms in Source monitor in a typical Avid way - you can't see them and video at the same time. It's effectively exactly the same as the old way of opening Source in the Timeline.

It would be so easy to have an option to show the waveform in the scrub bar (where the I and O points are).

Who comes up with these UX designs??

I HATE #Avid media management with a fiery passion. I'm just 100% unable to get this project&footage to a single drive to hand off to students. Group (synced) clips just do not consolidate/transcode no matter what, they're always linked to the originals and do not relink.

This is all ingested, no AMA taking place.
