Habe es noch nicht ausprobiert, das könnte aber eine echte Alternative für Bildbearbeitung werden, unter anderem auch weil es unter Linux laufen soll.

Der #KI kritische Teil in mir, der überwiegt, sieht das es ein typisches KI Werk ist, es ist geklaut und ohne Gewissen zusammengebastelt, der Preis ist hoch, was nach „der hat es Adobe so richtig gezeigt“ aussieht, ist in Wirklichkeit ein nach unten treten. Was Adobe daraus mitnimmt, dass sie angreifbar sind, was es der Firmenspitze vor allem aber zeigt, dass nur eine Hand voll mittelmäßiger Programmierer und eine KI reicht, um in kürzester Zeit auf funktionierende 60% der Creative Cloud zu kommen. Angriff auf #Adobe: ein Entwickler:innen-Team hat mit #ArtCraft einen ziemlich kompletten Nachbau der Kreativprogramme veröffentlicht (als #OpenSource auch verfügbar über github). Em und ich haben es ausprobiert und eine kleine Review geschrieben. Fazit: auf den ersten Blick ein ziemlich guter Ersatz! #Software
While I hope photocraft kills Adobe, because how can you not hate Adobe? At the same time, I think it would represent the creation of an even greater monster. I do not, for one second, think that Anthropic (Claude) would be anything other than the new Adobe. In order to avoid that future, photocraft, and other software like it, would have to become something other than vibe-coded slopware.
