  1. Jacobus Vyne and Wisper complete. I stuck largely to box art with some changes to the greens. I also painted the wizard's beard to match my own.

  2. Finished the Pox Wretches from the Warhammer Quest: Darkwater box. The family campaign officially starts this weekend with the encounter Flee the Miasma.

  3. I convinced my family to play Warhammer Quest: Darkwater with me and just finished the models for the first encounter. Hopefully I can corner everybody this weekend to play.

  4. The other Cankerborn from Warhammer Quest: Darkwater.

If you haven't played this game I recommend it. The rules are simple, but enjoyable. With the enemies being controlled by predetermined actions, it plays like an interesting puzzle as you try and solve how to win each mission. The campaign elements are fun, and as each mission is short you can play several missions in a session. It's a bit like a D&D "light", basic role-play, but with a good story behind it and solid mechanics.

  9. Act Three of #darkwater #warhammerquest completed, and we all lived! First full playthrough done, need to do another complete playthrough, with the new characters, then we get the bonus mission for the one after that.

Obviously going to be harder. Ahem.

Usual amount of head scratching on the 5 encounters we fought today before the final boss fight. Love the variety of missions.

Few screenshots of some of them below. Definitely a fun game and looking forward to another run next weekend.

  10. Been up for hours. Everyone else still asleep. XMas was more fun when we had young children. Bah. Adults staying in bed all morning? They ruins it, stupid hobbitses… 😂

Anyway. Planning paint jobs for the DarkWater heroes to use the time. Going to experiment mixing basecoats, speedpaints, and dry brushing just to hit #tabletop ready.

Hope everyone else is having a fun day! And drinking enough coffee.

  11. Okay. I tried not to buy Warhammer Quest Darkwater, and my son saw me watching videos, so he went out and bought it for me. Sealed box. With fresh cans of undercoat.

Anyone looking for it: Boyes. One box on display (empty) Full boxes through the back. (£136)

Definitely raised him right. 🥰 He justifies it by saying “We need a new game for Christmas day anyway…”

So, mucho new painting and gaming in my future. 🤪😂
