The #UK has changed, & if #Labour doesn't change & evolve with it, it will die. The #UK is a Social Democratic country, which lurched to the extremes with disastrous consequences.
We had the ERG/Tories on the far right, & the #Corbynista/Momentum caucus on the far left. #Starmer has steered Labour back to the centre, & I suspect that the one nation Tories will inherit the #CONservatives after #GE2024 & steer them back to the centre too.
Thankfully Starmer got there 1st

@Wen @CloudyMrs @Theriac @soren
There's several reasons why this could happen, as with a recent case in #Liverpool, where the proposed candidate was an anti #Starmer #Corbynista throwback to the #Militant 80s.
The local CLP were at war with each other, & almost fell apart until the PLP stepped in. The fella was a radical #Socialist extremist, who was better suited to #Momentum, the #NIP or #Galloway's Workers Party.
Today's #Labour is a #Social #Democrat party of #Centrist doctrine.

1/ The far left were at pains to point out that party membership plummeted from 580k to 350k after #Cobyn departed.
I've had several discussions with #Corbynista's who told me they left because of Centrist treachery within #Labour against Corbyn, which cost him the election. π³
Others cited the Forde Report, #Starmer himself, the 10 pledges & him deviating from Corbyn's losing 2019 manifesto, where previously he'd promised to stick with Corbynism if elected. π€·πΎββοΈ

We'll see. Corbyn's belched enough "I'm going nowhere" messages since the end of the #Labour Party Conference, that I wouldn't put anything past those in the #Corbynista cult.
They're just too scared to sod off to another party permanently, so they can put their vision for the #UK to the electorate.

As I said, it wasn't so much his message, it was the messenger, but his far left #Corbynista disciples wouldn't listen.
Then #GE2019 turned out just as predicted. π€·πΎββοΈ

@Becksy @OliverNoble @jackLondon @Healthcarer
You need to get up to speed with this #Corbynista lot.
EVERY post I make regarding #Labour, they infest it arguing the toss about #Starmer. π
As I say to one & all, I reply on my posts which are all positive until the usual suspect slither up & turn it into a "We hate Centrist Kieth Starmeroid".
I think it's they you need to be having a word with. If they behave around me, I'll behave around them.
Also, I DON'T respond to posts they make. π€·πΎββοΈ

Outside of #Corbyn & his lukewarm response to #Brexit, it wasn't his policies, it was Corbyn himself who was a turnoff for the electorate, but would his far left #Corbynista disciples listen?
No!
Corbyn led #Labour to the biggest #GeneralElection annihilation in political history.
This is all the history books will show.

4/ Again, I'm no #Starmer fanboy. I'd rather have #Labour in power under a new leader, than in opposition under Starmer.
Can the far left #Corbynista's say they felt the same about #Corbyn when he was Labour leader? π€
For several years I've asked this question in respect to Corbyn, NOT ONE of his disciples has been honest enough to give me an answer, let alone an honest one.
Why can't they just move on & leave Labour alone?

1/ I tell you what's counter-productive, I share news on the damage the #Tories are doing to the #UK, & the solutions #Labour are proposing.
HOWEVER, EVERY SINGLE DAY, I get descended upon by #Corbynista's who skip straight past the #Tories who're causing the carnage, & go straight for #Starmer! π³
I get it! You HATE the guy & blame his & other Labour MP's calls for a confirmatory referendum, on your Messiah Jezza losing badly in #GE2019.

@krans Thats brilliant
The OP says I'm a #Corbynista and you say I'm a #Tory
Would you care to comment on the data?
Data that shows #Starmer is disliked, distrusted and only scores positive when compared to the crumbling, incompetent #tories -

@AnthonyFStevens @Stevenheywood @OliverNoble @benjamineskola @Loukas
If they challenge your position they are automatically an irreversible enemy - #Corbynista far left extremists who must be condemned and cleansed from social life by your masterful command of 'the facts' which are actually highly biased narratives and interpretations of recent #Labour party history.

The right wing of #labour are utterly obsessed with #Corbyn
Almost every thread seem to result in
"#Corbyn's gone, was unelectable, get over it...."This despite any comments criticising labour having no reference to Corbyn at all
Is there some deep insecurity or jealousy underlying this?

@AnthonyFStevens @joshim @MutualityWSDEs @Judeet98 @Loukas re private firms in the NHS
Action on day one is a silly concept
But I would expect #labour and #WesStreeting to start by not planning to *increase* the out-flow of resources from the #NHS to the private sector -
And my concern isnt a "far-left", niche, #Corbynista fetish - its a *majority* view among voters

have " donated " to Wes and KS
