I'm new to GitHub. I tried to get the information I wanted there but could not find it.
I know that there is a PR for voice chats in general for #cinnyapp which I really appreciate
#commetchat is fairly new and doesn't even have its 1.0 release yet.
But for a client that focuses on communication shouldn't it be a more relevant topic to get the voice call to be a more smooth experience since the messenger stuff is already in a pretty good state?

Hey there, (I hope this is the right place to ask)
So I'm currently testing different matrix clients like yours #element , #cinnyapp and #commetchat.
I know that all of these clients use the same matrix protocol and rely on the development of this protocol.
I had my first real session in a voice call via element and was missing some basic audio settings like a noise Gate.

Ich sollte meinen CorpoStack (bzw. neuer Name wird vermutlich KMU!Suite) mal flott machen, dass ich ihn zum nächsten Digital Independence Day präsentieren kann.
im Anhang ein Screenshot. Ich schreibe hier mal die alternativen hin:- Jira + Confluence -> #OpenProject
- Github + GH-Actions -> #forgejo + #WoodpeckerCI
- Outlook -> #Mailcow and #Sogomail
- Slack -> #Tuwunel + #CinnyApp
- Zoom -> #Jitsi
- Chrome Passwörter ->#Vaulwarden
- Google Drive -> #Nextcloud (mit OnlyOffice ) + Paperless-NGX + #Etherpad
(Etherpad ist eigentlich nur drin, weil Jitsi und Nextcloud nicht so gehen, wie ich es wollte.Dann noch #Keycloack um Nutzer zu verwalten und #EspoCRM für Kunden. Achja und natürlich #Dashy für das Dashboard.

If you haven't updated please update Cinny to v4.2.1 as it fixes issues with Authenticated media in both Cinny web and desktop app.
You will need to refresh the app and desktop app multiple times to register service worker.
Our hosted instance https://app.cinny.in is already updated, so if you are using that just perform the refresh.

Hello, there will be a release for Authenticated media using service worker and for service worker to work on cinny-desktop at 14 Sept 2024 at 13:00 UTC. For service worker to work on Tauri app the custom tauri: protocol will be changed with the http: which means the existing sessions will be lost and you will have to login again. Please backup your keys before upgrading. Ignore it you have key backup on.
This is only required if you are using the Cinny desktop app.

Can someone help me with some ... #license interpretation? I wanted to (maybe) contribute to #cinnyapp but reading some pull requests it seems like everyone has to sign a "Contributor License Agreement" for committed code to be pulled.
#Cinny itself seems to be licensed under the AGPLv3.
Reading the "CLA" it seems like you basically sign over all legal rights of your contribution to "Cinny" or "Ajay Bura" except the fact that you made it. It also seems like you grant "Cinny" or "Ajay Bura" the "patent rights" and something I would call "product rights" to your work.
Am I accurate in my interpretation of the "Contributor License Agreement"? I am willing to listen to alternative interpretations.
Right now... That does not sound very good to me. #opensource -
