Aaah, I’ve just found a new way to practice my Chinese! I downloaded this game ages ago: Teahouse of the Gods by Naca Rat, https://www.choiceofgames.com/teahouse/. Just started playing it and discovered you can set the Chinese dialogue to render in hanzi or pinyin, rather than English!

So I'm only up to the dog park scene but I played the fuck out of the alpha & one interesting new thing I'm noticing from that is the pronouns. In Rebirth, Anathema always has the same pronouns as Sidestep. In Retribution so far they've avoided any pronouns for Themmy at all, which I'm not sure whether that's meaningful or if it's just to cut down on variables to track/debug. -
Does anyone have #ChoiceOfGames, #HostedGames, or #ChoiceScript game recs? #TwineGames are ok too but only ones with no graphics, music, or left frame please.
My past faves are the #FallenHero series, #180Files, #TheExile, and #AMageReborn series among others.
