So! Been playing #AssassinsCreed Black Flag: Resynced for a Week and I have thoughts:
1) Overall the graphics update is beautiful BUT you absolutely have to set the character quality to maximum (and the separate "hair strands" as high as you can) or everyone is blobby and orange, and in the current world situation, that makes me nauseous
2) I don't care for the changes to Edward's face: he now constantly has this gormless-yet-smarmy smirk that just makes him extremely punchable
3) New combat system is just plain bad; STOP SWITCHING BACK TO SWORDS and let me use the gadget I'm trying to use, please
4) Most of the new content is cartoony and really doesn't match the vibe; on the other hand, ship's cat FTW
So... mixed bag. The reviews that have said "Everything good about it was the original Black Flag, everything bad is the new stuff" are not wrong.
Except the ship's cat. That part can stay.
