We recently visited the #BristleconePines Ancient Forest in #California.
This "young" tree probably has more water and less stress down slope. Notice the #droopy look similar to a weeping willow.

We recently visited the #BristleconePines within #InyoNationalForest in the #WhiteMountains of Eastern #California. While there we took a five hour hike on the Methuselah Trail amongst some of the oldest trees in the world!

2nd day, I headed back up to the ridge and discovered the full extent of the park's "primitive trails" as I made my way south, then once more wandered through a multitude of bristlecone pine trees, ancient and slightly less aged.
