I love this artist, I've posted at least one other of his works.
There's something about the feel that comes across in everything he made, like it's so fun to be in this world. Everything is simplified into the most vibrant essence of what it is. It doesn't seem like this book could possibly scare or disgust me. The good guys are going to win, or there will be some kind of positive transformation, and it won't be too awful getting there. 🤣

Night, Near Midnight
This Geranium Lake Properties comic was considered for the sixth day of the Eleven Monsters Holiday but it did not quite fit our criteria for the Red Beast theme. It was red enough, but it was not impeccably beastly. This panel was originally part of a series Yost made to illustrate the Thirty-Fifth Anniversary Edition of Six Tales from the Glorious Assemblage of Haberdashers by Abby Ashier Chertsey. The third tale in that book ("The Rust-Stained Jug") is about a man named Mike Frick, aka the King of Millers. Mike is neither a king nor a miller; he inherited his title from his father, who was also not a king nor a miller. Mike comes from a long line of men who were known as the Kings of the Mills, yet none of them were kings and not one of them was a miller. Yost borrowed this character with Chertsey's permission, and put Mike Frick the King of Millers into a short story titled "The Fine and Deadly Difference between Zossiyan and Znayossion Yogurts". A nice hardcover art- heavy book - does it matter what dimensions? Does anyone have a preference? This is for a future project but don't know what to go for. Is A4 too big? Should I go for something more old school like 8x10 inches?

When Ayla’s research takes her to a remote river in Canada’s far north, Chris brings their daughter to an isolated island in the southern Pacific. Though at opposite ends of the earth, they both awaken one morning to black skies, and a night that doesn’t end. Slowly, Ayla and Chris begin to realize that humanity has been inexplicably wiped out, and only their isolation has saved them. Besides the handful of people around them, they are now alone in the world. As they struggle to build new ways to live, they must also struggle with how to let go of their past.
Millions of years later, when their descendants finally meet, they have evolved to become two very different kinds of humans, with two very different civilizations. As each tries to build a better world for themselves, navigating love, loss, betrayal and success within their own societies, their biggest challenge may be to recognize the humanity of the other.

Yes, I have. The design is supposed to be reminiscent of 80s #HardRock and #Metal album covers in terms of the font. The silhouette of the guitar is intended to emphasize that music is a significant part of the novel's plot. In addition, the lightning bolt on the cover plays an important role in the story and in the name of the novel.
