I was able to get my #fretlessbass with .135g tapewound flatwounds down to low F#.

If I keep my #basses at the sub #contrabass level and use a #cello #guitar for anything higher, wouldn't the cello then really be the #doublebass? 😜

P.S. the trick is to hit the string hard near the bridge and use a little fuzz. (Also using a little chorus, reverb, minimal delay (time:10, fb:10, mix:20) plenty of EQ). It sounds just fine.

Only 3 strings on this half of the bass.
The other 4 on the neck are fretted, lol. Currently tuned C1, G1, C2, F2. Maybe both sections will shift to have low G on the bottom!
