Memories
I was just reminded (by a sentence in someone else's Duolingo Norwegian lesson) of a past story.
There exists a breed of #dog called a #basenji. They are descended from #African hunting dogs, and they are in certain ways very primitive dogs, pre-dating all modern dog breeds. They may be as much as 4,500 years old. They are considered the second least trainable dog breed, behind only the Afghan hound, and one of their physiological quirks is that they have essentially all canine teeth. (Another is that they do not bark. They sort of yodel instead.)
Once, many years ago, I knew people who raised and/or kept basenjis. One of the owners gave his dog a long, polysyllabic Hawai'ian name. He explained that the name came from finding a pair of his underwear under his bed, with the crotch completely ripped out and shredded.
I don't remember the actual name, but I clearly remember the translation:
"My god, my underwear!" -

I think the #basenji is in a cahoots with the #squirrels. While I don’t know what they’re up to, the #squirrelspiracy is real.
