    For #BlackHistoryMonth, I'm introducing African deities in my daily god toots. Min is an #EgyptianGod worshipped since predynastic times. The earliest form of the god was a barbed arrow or a thunderbolt that became the first hieroglyph in his name. Despite being a god of the desert, Min is still a fertility god, and his depictions were painted black to represent the fertile land along the Nile.

    From the Middle Kingdom era to the New Kingdom era, #Min the #EgyptianGod of fertility and male sexuality rose into prominence, commonly depicted as having one hand holding an upside-down, V-shaped flail and his erect penis.
