This Atheist Day, I am reflecting on how we should not fall into the same cycles of hate as some religious people. We should not discriminate against believers simply because they believe, the way they discriminate against gays, the transgender, and those of other faiths. Rather, we should reserve our anger for any who attempt to oppress and cause hardship to others for such superficial reasons.

Happy #AtheistDay to all those who celebrate (or don't).
Why should we be "good" if there is no supernatural being to judge us? Simplest answer is just because we are social animals - we evolved to live together.
Of course it is more complex than that. Maybe today is a good day to think about it and maybe talk about it.

We stand for #humanrights such as #freedom of thought, freedom of expression and bodily autonomy, and for the many people who are denied healthcare, persecuted, imprisoned, subject to wars in the name of religious beliefs.
