Something is very wrong with this map. If that much of Africa (looks like about 1/2 to 2/3 of the USA in size) and also much of India and SE Asia was on fire, I'm pretty sure the air quality worldwide would be affected.

What do the blue areas show / represent?

The map has no legend and no source.

  2. Happy #AtheistDay to all those who celebrate (or don't).

Why should we be "good" if there is no supernatural being to judge us? Simplest answer is just because we are social animals - we evolved to live together.

Of course it is more complex than that. Maybe today is a good day to think about it and maybe talk about it.

  3. my understanding of homeopathy:

Put 1 gram of fecal matter in an olympic-sized swimming pool filled with regular water. Stir well. Drain half the water and refill with regular water. Stir well. Repeat several hundred times.

Congratulations: drinking 1 tablespoon of the water in the pool will protect you from, or cure you of, diarrhea, gas, and other butt-related issues.

    So, magic!

(Also, don't try this at home - it doesn't work. This post is #sarcastic.)

  4. Doesn't the (claimed) existence of a male God require the existence of a female God?

Or can (s)he be both? At the same time?

Explain again how there are only two genders?

Really, the human mind is one of the most complex machines in existence. Do people really think there is any attribute of it (aside from maybe "alive" or "dead") that doesn't fall along a continuum? Simple binary either / or doesn't seem likely from such complexity.
