I am very fucking pissed at Apple. My Apple Watch for months has been restarting. It does it randomly but often. I tried reinstalling watchOS a few times and finally took it in. It isn’t even a year old yet!

At the Apple Store they couldn’t even run diagnostics on the watch because it kept restarting. So I was told they had to send it to the repair centre and it would likely be replaced.

I just got a notice that they couldn’t reproduce the issue, so they are sending back my device as is.

I miss the days when Apple actually cared and would replace devices or fix them when there were issues.

Foolishly thought I could look at my past apple account on windows but the dating process of passwords and codes is nothing short of ludicrous, I also live remotely so spent 20 minutes wondering around like a lunatice with my phone on the air waiting for a mf 6 digit code that made no difference #applesucks #windowssucks #outsideisgood

And... after being told by the Apple Genius that the power port was corroded and even the wireless chargeing would not work, and "the only option" was to buy a new one," it turns out charging through the iPad keyboard does charge the old iPad.

So in fact the only option was not buying a new iPad.

I uploaded some videos to google drive - which is REALLY SLOW BTW - and then I wanted to download them onto an #iPad ... so I installed the google drive app ... which they call google backup for some reason... perhaps I had the wrong app? anyway I was NOT able to make a local copy of a folder on google drive on my iPad. My 12 year old daughter is witness & tried also and she said I should "Just calm down, alright." #applesucks to high heaven.... we watched them without local copy but online...

Note to others.
During the freezing week in Melbourne. My kid got home from school picked up their 6 month old iPad that had been left in the cold house all day and grabbed a screen cleaning cloth to wipe it down and the screen cracked. I was in room and heard it and looked over to wonder what happened. Oh well I said it’s still covered under warranty.

Nope, Apple Store manager claimed it had been dropped, damaged or my kid had pushed on it to hard. So as they can’t replace screens on them I needed to pay over $500 to get a new one. No amount of arguing would persuade him that it was a fault in the glass probably due to thermal problem, Freezing screen warmer cloth, akin to throwing warm water on your windscreen to get ice off. I was happy to take it up with consumer affairs he said but you will be without an iPad for months.
Getting home quick look up on the web and yes it happens but they won’t admit it and it looks like it’s only in northern hemisphere as Australia doesn’t normally get that cold.

They aren’t one of the richest companies in the world for nothing. Also found out that apple have a specials deal with consumer law in Australia. 12 months not 24 month guarantee.

So be careful with your iPads people in this freezing weather.

And is there a command to force a #sync now for all files in #macos ? Not that I can see? If I wanted my data controlled by a OS that assumed I have internet wherever I go I would ask for one. So my data is in the cloud (thanks BTW) but it should be on my machine if I made it there. Holy crap. I am sure eventually all the stupid cloud symbols next to my data files will float away but why not on my command. I hate this sooo much it make me post rants oops. #applesucks
