Please provide some evidence for the statement that in some academic contexts #pronouns are now mandated. (Or that progressive left wings are overrepresented in universities...)

This should not be happening and yet ... A female academic criticizes structural problems of her University's equal opportunity program. Instead of embracing the criticism, University fires her.
