#FediHilfe Wenn ich an einen mit #ActivityPubPlugin ans Fediverse angeschlossenen WordPress Blogaccount eine Privatnachricht kriege, kann ich die nur in der E-Mail-Benachrichtigung sehen. Es gibt jeinen Kommentar im Blog und ich kann das Posting in Mastodon nicht aufrufen. Ich kann also nur den Beantworten-Link in der Mail nutzen, aber der will einen neuen Blogpost daraus machen. Oder wo geht das hin, wenn ich das nutze?

ActivityPub meint, zusammenhanglos irgendwelche Posts als Kommentare für nicht bestehende Artikel zu framen und verwurschtelt mir mein Blog komplett.
Vier Posts sind das bisher, noch eines und das Plugin ist Geschichte.

Ist es möglich, dass das #activitypubPlugIn mit der neuen Funktion um die Reaktionen als Zitat anzuzeigen die Einstellung, dass ich keine Avatare von Kommentatoren anzeigen lasse, ignoriert wird?

Seit neuestem kann man mit dem Blog und dem ActivityPub Plugin anderen Profilen im Fediverse folgen. Und wenn man möchte, kann man damit die Sache hin zu Bluesky erweitern.

Also mit dem #activitypubplugin auf Wordpress kann der Blog @buntkueche nun auch anderen Accounts im Fediverse folgen.
Es gibt keine Leseansicht der Beiträge der gefolgten Accounts, oder zumindest noch nicht. Daher macht das an sich noch nicht so viel Sinn.
Aber man könnte die Bridge zu Bluesky ansprechen. Und genau das teste ich gerade.

Mal sehen ob und wie das gelingt und ob das gut ist.

Dieses Jahr ist Freitag, der 13., leider ein Tag, der seinem Ruf alle Ehre macht. Die Welt und die Berliner DFÜ-Szene der 90er-Jahre trauern um zwei herausragende Persönlichkeiten: Letzten Freitag ist rusty (†62) und eine Woche zuvor Hase (†69) von uns gegangen.

Obwohl wir uns in den letzten Jahren kaum oder gar nicht mehr gesehen und nur wenig geschrieben haben, waren beide von großer Bedeutung für mich. Sie waren herzensgute Menschen, die ihr Herz auf der Zunge trugen und mir gegenüber immer offen und ehrlich waren. Wir waren nicht immer einer Meinung – aber das macht gute Freunde aus.

Jetzt auch im Fediverse föderiert: Die Kultur- und Begegnungstätte Hamburger Tor in der #StadtWorms. Relativ simpel: Man installiert dazu das Wordpress-Plugin ActivityPub und das Wordpress-Pllugin Webfinger. Im #ActivityPubPlugin konfiguriert man, ob Autoren oder das ganze Blog als Handle sichtbar werden und welche Inhaltstypen geteilt werden.

I am working on an initiative named "Building bridges, from #museums to the Fediverse", and I feel that somehow we are in sync.

We are trying to imagine how digital repositories (museum collections on the web) could establish a mediated dialogue with decentralized social networks, by stitching with #wordpressplugins.

Ui. Fediverse Vorschau ist gut gemacht. Sieht auf dem Smartphone nicht ganz so schön aus, aber auf dem normalen Rechner oder Tablet dürfte das ganz in Ordnung sein.

(Der Beitrag mit dem die Vorschau erzeugt wurde kommt am Samstag online.)

Wusst ichs doch. Das letzte Update vom #Activitypubplugin hat die hinterlegten Einstellungen für die Darstellung im Fediverse zumindest mal bei mir erfolgreich zerrissen. 🥴

Gut, dass ich meiner Anleitung ein Screenshot steckt von genau diesen bevorzugten Einstellungen. 😅

So also das ActivityPub Plugin ist jetzt auf 4.0.1
Ich habe weiterhin nur eine Ahnung was denn das Quiet public sein soll als Einstellung.
Ich würde vermuten, dass ein so markierter Beitrag zwar föderiert wird aber den Followern des Blogs nicht direkt in die Timeline gespült wird.

Test läuft. Optimalerweise wissen wir in ca. 15 Minuten mehr.

And nowwwww my wordpress.org site @kostyn.ca is struggling to federate and I can't figure out why... I also tried to use Webfinger for the first time to see if that would help, but it seems to have generated this weird stray account @application from my domain that I don't know what to do with. Wieder gab es diesen Fehler mit der Ausgabe von Seiten durch das #ActivityPubPlugin. Es soll wohl am Caching-Plug-in liegen, aber das habe ich schon gewechselt. 😟

The #activitypub plugin for Wordpress is still not ready for primetime, IMO. When you add an image to your Wordpress Media Library, internally that's an attachment post, and the plugin appears to be ignoring that, and making a post out of it anyway. I just added a few dozen images to my library and they all showed up in my Mastodon feed as separate postings! Sorry, but that's crap.

Interessante Änderungen. Aber so langsam brauch ich wirklich eine Anleitung dafür.
Es wird so langsam aber sicher zum böhmischen Dorf für mich.

Wo und wie kann ich nun die Felder für das Blogprofil steuern? Das sollte nun möglich sein. Ist nur die Frage wo und wie.. 🥴

@pfefferle, ist mir gerade erst aufgefallen, ich würde es bevorzugen, wenn @texteundbilder im Kommentar nicht auf die eigene Domain (dort bin ich ja schon), sondern auf den Ursprung bzw. die Fediverse-Instanz verlinken würde.
