> What a machine the #c64 was!Yes, not to mention what a machine it still is!
I've just been playing #Lester, a polished and thoroughly enjoyable C64 game that was released only yesterday, not sure it even qualifies as #RetroGaming ;)

When it comes to implementing technology and especially when it comes to hardware, I operate under the "principle of least steps", meaning that I seek the most basic but still effective way to use whatever thing I happen to be using. (#security would be an exception.) For instance, with a #laptop, I use it as a portable single-screen device with no attachments. For #Windows11, tools like #PowerToys #FancyZones make my no-desk, no-external-monitors laptop usage much easier.

#ADHD #notification_fatigue and #alarms
With my case of ADHD, my brain will easily shove a notification to the background if I don't expect it or if the notification sound is happening too often. My threshold for "too often" is very low.
So, I use alarms sparingly. They break through my ADHD, and this is a #hack I use to set future alarms and it's pretty simple:
1) Have a timely event that *must happen* more than 24 hours from now
2) Set a repeating alarm for that day and time -
Alternate name for the #constellation #Auriga (charioteer) is the Sky Protozoan. This is probably an original naming.

#Miscommunication between people can be easily forgiven if the miscommunication is easily explained or resolved and not a representation of deceit.
A lack of #communication on the other hand, often represents a lack of respect, especially if you do everything in your power to earn the respect you should be given. If you can quantify that lack of communication—the absence of respect—the way forward is through a door labeled "Exit".

Well, that's neat.
Learning the mandolin as an adult and beginning to read music, I naturally pursued an interleaved instead of a blocked practice schedule. It's what my brain and mind wanted and it's what felt to be the easiest and most fun way to learn.
Apparently, there's some science behind it, too.

Anybody use `asdf` or `ASDF` as your visual queue for a "content placeholder" or a "TODO"?
I use that left-hand home row of QWERTY keys as a placeholder all the time, so it makes #ADFS (active directory federation services) look like a typo when I see it.
My brain is silly.
