Kleiner Tipp für alle #KDE und #Widescreen bzw. #Ultrawide User. Mit Meta+T könnt ihr Zonen eueres Desktops festlegen und euch die Arbeitsfläche aufteilen. Analog zu #FancyZones bei den PowerToys aus Redmond. Nur unter KDE ist die Umsetzung gefühlt 3x besser und intuitiver.

@Och Vieleicht ist das #FancyZones Tool aus dem #MicrosoftPowerToys was für dich. Das erweitert das Fenster Management um selbst Definierbare Zonen. Und Autosnap von Fenstern in diese Zonen. Auch auf mehrere Monitore unterscheidbar...

When it comes to implementing technology and especially when it comes to hardware, I operate under the "principle of least steps", meaning that I seek the most basic but still effective way to use whatever thing I happen to be using. (#security would be an exception.) For instance, with a #laptop, I use it as a portable single-screen device with no attachments. For #Windows11, tools like #PowerToys #FancyZones make my no-desk, no-external-monitors laptop usage much easier.

Honestly, I was shocked how much nicer #Windows11 is for #server use than #windows10

Sure it's mostly just command line stuff and web page stuff, but the UI is way nicer with #fancyzones on windows 11 and I got #ssh working a lot faster on windows 11 than on 10 (Theoretically its the same process but 10 can't seem to figure it out)

Obviously #linux beat both in terms of streamlined installation and #xfce is way nicer looking than windows layout, but credit where it's do and all.
