Update on #C64 purchases: The #floppydrive #1541ii & the #BubbleBobbleCollection have arrived. However, the drive was missing the data cable, so I couldn't connect the drive to the #c64c & had to order a new cable for €10.

#ParasolStars is a bit of an odd game - feels like a step back vs #RainbowIsland ? Also, the 16bit #amiga version feels sluggish vs the much less pretty #nes version (at least on the emulators I used)
Anyone else find this or it is well loved?

You may also enjoy Rainbow Island. It matches your description of games that were released in the twilight of the ZX Spectrum as a mainstream platform.

How boring my dad's superficiality on any Mario game I play for typical eternal elements of saga, for him the pearls are those he played on #C64 & #A500 (loved by Gen. Xs), many that he mentions are ports: #DrMario, #RainbowIsland, #BubbleBobble. I didn't grow up and be fan on those, I tried but nothing, but there're some that I like and that are also multiplatform: #Turrican, #ChaosEngine, #SoccerKid, #BubbleandSqueak, #SensibleSoccer, #JamesPond, #Zool, #Speedball, #ItCamefromtheDesert
