I've just had my first(?) potential #miscommunication on #Mastodon that I would at least partially blame on the #UI. I replied to a post by @bynkii, basing my reply on the post in isolation, when it was a reply to a #thread that provided significant #context that may have changed its reasonableness.
On the other hand, I don't think using Twitter to post long continuous thoughts split up into many tweets was reasonable. It's even less so in the fediverse where long form platforms are an option.
