I kinda missed Raycast doing a remake of their app and I’m considering moving away from it because it does everything and the kitchen sink while I mostly use the app launching and I probably benefit from something more streamlined.
However, I do think they did laid out really well why they are rebuilding the app in web tech. I don’t necessarily agree with all their choices but I understand where they are coming from and how cognisant they are of the tradeoffs they’re making. For those deploying Beszel on #proxmox, how have you actually done that? It is basically sacrilegious to install anything on the hypervisor but I would like to get some insight on how the bare metal is doing. #homelab #selfhosted

Im starting to understand more and more why #Synology’s DSM is not particularly loved by Linux people, what a strange beast. Along with their hardware shenanigans, my next storage solution probably won’t be a synology.

Spent several hours yesterday setting up Beszel. It looks incredibly slick and I’m very impressed with how easy they make the setup across several nodes. But the majority of the time setting up was spent on figuring out why the agent on my #synology was connecting over SSH instead of a WebSocket.
Apparently DSM7 disallows outgoing connections for external packages which breaks #Tailscale in subtle ways. Granted, Tailscale does have this documented and provides a solution but this was not easy to troubleshoot. #homelab #selfhosting

Ab Juli 1944 wurden die Außenlagerkomplexe Kaufering und Mühldorf zu Tatorten des #holocaust . Zur Befreiungsfeier heute kamen noch einige der letzten Überlebenden. Hier mein Bericht für @BR24
