Les élections en Saxe Anhalt, dans l’ex RDA, ont produit un résultat terrifiant : l’AFD, parti d’extrême-droite, y obtient 44% des voix !Ce parti déverse la haine des migrant·e·s, mais aussi sa sympathie avec ce que fut le nazisme.
Ce résultat indique les risques de victoire de l’extrême-droite, dont nous connaissons l’ampleur en France.
Une extrême droite héritière de ce que fut le fascisme du XXème siècle, dont on sait la catastrophe que fut son arrivée au pouvoir dans nombre de pays européens, particulièrement en Allemagne sous la forme du nazisme.
Le RAAR, qui combat l’antisémitisme et tous les racismes, est particulièrement sensible au danger que cette extrême droite fait courir à nos sociétés par sa haine de l’autre.
Tout doit être fait pour qu’elle ne parvienne pas au pouvoir.
Pour cela est nécessaire le rassemblement de celles et ceux qui ne peuvent supporter le retour de la haine.
Le RAAR tient à rappeler l’importance de la mémoire de la Shoah, cette extermination des Juif/ves permise par l’idéologie du rejet de l’autre.
A l’heure où d’aucuns la minimisent par des comparaisons ineptes cette mémoire est au cœur de l’antifascisme.

#AmberleyThay, 20, a third-year history student who works as a regional ambassador for the Holocaust Educational Trust ( #HET), claimed to have been labelled a “mouthpiece for #Israel” thanks to her advocacy for more comprehensive teaching about the #Shoah.
She has been involved with the charity for four years, first engaging with it during a visit to #Auschwitz as part of its Lessons from Auschwitz project."

Today saw the inauguration of the #unesco #worldheritage visitor centre at the Old #jewish Cemetery in #Mainz. The ceremony included an address by Dr Regina Lackner, granddaughter of Sali Levi, last rabbi of the Jewish community before the #shoah. She donated her grandfather's inkwell to complement the exhibition in the new centre, named after him.

Dreyfus innocent: le 120e anniversaire de la décision de la Cour de Cassation le 12 juillet 1906.Il a subi de terribles persécutions antisémites organisées par l’extrême-droite d'alors et la hiérarchie militaire, notamment par son séjour dans le bagne de l'Ile du Diable.
Le 12 juillet 1906, la Cour de cassation proclame, de manière très puissante, l’innocence du capitaine Dreyfus, rappelant qu’aucune charge ne pèse sur lui, qu’il n’a cessé d’être innocent et qu’il a été condamné à tort. C’est un arrêt historique, qui repose sur un travail colossal des magistrats, avec plus de deux ans et demi d’instruction et de débats.
Malgré cela, la hiérarchie militaire actuelle continue de s'opposer à la présence de la statue de Dreyfus, oeuvre du sculpteur Tim (Louis Mitelberg , https://shs.cairn.info/revue-archives-juives-2018-1-page-132?lang=fr) , là où elle devrait se trouver, dans le lieu de sa dégradation au sein de l'Ecole militaire. Mitterrand et son ministre de la défense Charles Hernu ont validé et accompagné ce déni.
Hommage à sa mémoire et à son courage, ainsi qu’à celui de ses défenseurs (ci-dessous).
Son entrée au Panthéon s’imposeHistoire des militants de gauche qui se jetèrent très tôt dans la bataille pour la défense de Dreyfus, contre l'antisémitisme et le nationalisme.
Le 17 janvier 1898, quatre jours après la publication par Émile Zola de son J'accuse, protestant contre la condamnation de Dreyfus, au paroxysme de ce qu'il était alors convenu d'appeler l'Affaire, les antisémites ripostaient violemment.
Dans toute la France des cortèges pogromistes déferlaient sur les quartiers juifs aux cris de « Conspuez Zola! » et de « Mort aux juifs! ».
A Paris une réunion publique était programmée par l'aile la plus dure de l'antidreyfusisme, dans la salle dite du Tivoli‑Vauxhall à proximité immédiate de l'actuelle place de la République; plusieurs milliers de personnes s'y pressaient.
Une centaine de militants ouvriers parisiens, allemanistes (socialistes de gauche) et anarchistes principalement, vinrent apporter une contradiction musclée à ce meeting.

L'association MEMORIAL 98, qui combat contre le racisme, l'antisémitisme et le négationnisme a été créée en janvier 1998, lors du centenaire de l'affaire Dreyfus.
Son nom fait référence aux premières manifestations organisées en janvier 1898, pendant l'affaire Dreyfus, par des ouvriers socialistes et révolutionnaires parisiens s'opposant à la propagande nationaliste et antisémite.
Ce site en est l'expression dans le combat contre tous les négationnismes (Arménie, Rwanda, Shoah...)

Je vous conseille sur Arte Radio le beau documentaire "Il restera la gravité" d' Adrianna Wallis qui fait écho à mon travail pour Se Souvenir de Sam. Dans mon enquête sur ce peintre survivant d'Auschwitz, je me suis beaucoup demandé ce que Sam avait retrouver dans l'atelier de ses parents en y revenant après guerre.
Adrianna Wallis interroge dans sa quête autour de l'immeuble familial et du destin des possessions de sa famille ce qui a été perdu dans la Shoah.
Heureusement, les atomes conserveront malgré tout les traces indélébiles de ces existences déchirées. -

Dear brothers and sisters! Because she was Jewish, Edith Stein was taken with her sister Rosa and many other Catholic Jews from the Netherlands to the concentration camp in Auschwitz, where she died with them in the gas chambers. Today we remember them all with deep respect. A few days before her deportation, the woman religious had dismissed the question about a possible rescue: “Do not do it! Why should I be spared? Is it not right that I should gain no advantage from my Baptism? If I cannot share the lot of my brothers and sisters, my life, in a certain sense, is destroyed”.
From now on, as we celebrate the memory of this new saint from year to year, we must also remember the Shoah, that cruel plan to exterminate a people — a plan to which millions of our Jewish brothers and sisters fell victim. May the Lord let his face shine upon them and grant them peace (cf. Nm 6:25f.).
For the love of God and man, once again I raise an anguished cry: May such criminal deeds never be repeated against any ethnic group, against any race, in any corner of this world! It is a cry to everyone: to all people of goodwill; to all who believe in the Just and Eternal God; to all who know they are joined to Christ, the Word of God made man. We must all stand together: human dignity is at stake. There is only one human family. The new saint also insisted on this: “Our love of neighbour is the measure of our love of God. For Christians — and not only for them — no one is a ‘stranger’. The love of Christ knows no borders”.
