"A student at the #University of #Exeter has alleged that she was subjected to a torrent of #antisemitic abuse on #campus, despite not being #Jewish, simply due to her work with a #Holocaust #education charity.
#AmberleyThay, 20, a third-year history student who works as a regional ambassador for the Holocaust Educational Trust ( #HET), claimed to have been labelled a “mouthpiece for #Israel” thanks to her advocacy for more comprehensive teaching about the #Shoah.
She has been involved with the charity for four years, first engaging with it during a visit to #Auschwitz as part of its Lessons from Auschwitz project."

Today saw the inauguration of the #unesco #worldheritage visitor centre at the Old #jewish Cemetery in #Mainz. The ceremony included an address by Dr Regina Lackner, granddaughter of Sali Levi, last rabbi of the Jewish community before the #shoah. She donated her grandfather's inkwell to complement the exhibition in the new centre, named after him.

Ganz anders die Politik in #Hamburg, die sich von ihm ein Kühne-Denkmal in Form einer Oper hat schenken lassen. Ekelhaft.

Die Stadt #Wiesbaden, die Jüdische Gemeinde Wiesbaden und die Gesellschaft für Christlich-Jüdische Zusammenarbeit Wiesbaden laden alle ein, sich am Do, 9. 11., 19 Uhr, an der Gedenkstätte für die ermordeten Wiesbadener Juden am Standort der 1938 zerstörten großen Synagoge am Michelsberg zu versammeln, um an die Novemberpogrome 1938 und die Zerstörung der Synagoge durch die Nazis zu erinnern.
