How would you describe the flavor of cilantro to those who have the "soap" gene? To me it has some similarities to mint in the sense that it you can feel it fill your whole nasal passage with a sort of feeling of freshness but without the burning sensation that mint can have. There's also a bit of a grassy flavor and maybe a hint of like onion? It's by far my favorite herb. I'd eat fistsfulls of it if I could. #food #cilantro

My only problem with it is it'll run even if there's no water in the kettle. You can potentially destroy it that way. Maybe they fixed that in later versions.

If you're wondering about the longevity of Fellow's electric water kettle, here's my experience:
I bought one in 2018. It died in 2020 (possibly because I spilt water on the base). Fellow sent me a replacement for free. I've been using it virtually everyday for coffee since then with no issues.
Btw, you can play Snake on the lcd screen.

Not many people know that the HomePod Mini has a hygrometer inside. You can get readings of your indoor humidity with it. There's even a lock screen widget.
This time of year I have to keep a humidifier running constantly. I have a clavichord (wooden keyboard instrument) that's very sensitive to changes in humidity.

The latest Outlook for Mac has the traffic light window controls scrunched up together. Weird. #Outlook #msOutlook #mac #office

I'm installing Windows 98 on a 32gb SSD. I had formatted the SSD to FAT32 in macOS's Disk Utility app. Windows 98 didn't like it. Loaded DOS 7 off the 98 setup CD, ran fdisk, and reformatted the drive in FAT32. Now Windows 98 install appears to be working. #retrocomputers #windows98 #win98

Found this PII Dell tower for $40 at the MIT Flea today. Also got a power cable, mouse, and keyboard for it while I was there. 450mhz and 256mb RAM. Hoping I can use this to make a decent late '90s gaming PC. I think the seller said it has some sort of ATI Rage graphics card but I might need to get a better one.
I don't have space for a CRT right now. I'm going to try to hook it to my monitor with a VGA to HDMI adapter.

Wrote my first Windows batch file today. It checks if a user's local copy of an Access frontend database is the current version; if not, it downloads the latest version from the server into a local folder, deletes any old local copies, then launches Access with it in runtime mode. 😎 #access #office #msAccess #msOffice #windows #databases #programming

I appreciate the Apple Classical app but two things are keeping me from really embracing it:
1. No Mac version. It's iPhone/iPad only.
2. No playlist folders. I have hundreds of playlists (really albums that I've turned into playlists) organized into a complex folder hierarchy in Apple Music. The Classical app turns all that into a single flat playlist list. #Apple #AppleClassical #AppleMusic #iOS #Mac -

Wow. This site about color theory hasn't updated its design since the 90s. It even still has the original ad banners. #retro #90s #webdesign #retroweb
