Ron Sexsmith is een drievoudig Juno Award-winnende songwriter uit Ontario, Canada. Hij heeft een uitgebreide en veelgeprezen catalogus van studioalbums geschreven en opgenomen, te beginnen met zijn titelloze debuut in 1995. In de afgelopen decennia heeft Ron opgetreden in enkele van de meest prestigieuze zalen ter wereld, zoals Massey Hall, Carnegie Hall, de Royal Albert Hall in Londen en The London Palladium. Als kind van de melodie is zijn muziek beschreven als een mengeling van Canadese folkhelden zoals Gordon Lightfoot en Leonard Cohen met die van The Kinks, de Beatles en andere Britse acts uit zijn vormingsjaren. Zijn nummers zijn gecoverd door vele gerespecteerde artiesten zoals Rod Stewart, kd Lang, Emmylou Harris, Michael Bublé, Feist, Elvis Costello en Stevie Nicks, om er maar een paar te noemen.

Ein echtes Vorbild aus einer Zeit als ich noch mit "Fräulein Steiner" als Werkstudentin bei #Siemens angesprochen wurde und Frauen gerne submissiv betonten, keine "Emanze" zu sein.
