I crocheted (a very wonky) BJD hat !
1/3 scale, it took me about five days because I was following a YouTube tutorial and .. the tutorial wasn't paced very well or even mostly in focus :C

I gave this hat to my Mii the other night and now I'm fidgeting at the seams because I could totally make myself one irl. Flower squares are absurdly common and any would be easy to adapt.

I’ve just finished my very very first #crochet #chocker, which is also my very first crochet project.
My mental health has been shaky this week due to many overlapping unfortunate events and deadlines, and it’s incredible how crochet helped my mind to stay put and not to go off in places were it would just make everything worse.

Still getting over the tail end of a grotty cold, so it's been heated blanket and comfort gaming for me.
But a mere couple of weeks ago I was crocheting in the sun with a mai tai in arm's reach, chatting to a friendly stranger who happened to be knitting on the sun lounger opposite.
I choose to distract myself from current grottiness by remembering this day. Good times, good times 🥹

toutes les tailles du xs au 5x (et en vrai, faites du 12x si vous voulez tant que vous avez compris la méthode !), et seulement DEUX coutures. le pull rend très bien.

It's been exactly two weeks today I began crocheting! I have finished my the most complex and labor intensive creation yet. This is based on the hat design by Sirin's Crochet ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGd8AcFEXfE ) but with 4 cotton yarn, the hat's band is made with 0.5 larger mm hook (instead of smaller in the video), and I crochet connected a long strap of the same pattern as the hat's band. I may line it at some point, may not.I love the colors!

This year I am trying to have a routine in a hobby, which I almost forgot: crochet
It is completely underrated, because this activity is a good brain training. You have to focus on one thing and can't swipe after 3 seconds.
Completing a project needs a lot of time, energy, patience and will power.
The learning curve is steep and I find it somehow more complex than coding, 3d-modelling or any other handcrafting things.
If someone things this is something for old women. WRONG! This is challenging.

Today, I learned that a "bookazine" is a thing... it involves elements of both a book and a magazine. Unlike a magazine, it can use an ISBNs, whereas magazines use ISSNs... Also Bookazine [https://bookazine.com] is a global distributor... so... if you're ever out there trying to figure out how to subscribe to a magazine's future issues, but it doesn't have an ISSN for you to give to your librarian, check the cover & see if you see a Bookazine logo on it anywhere... might explain things. Also remember to breathe because sometimes new information can be overwhelming...
That said, might someone be a friendly lamb & let me know if it's possible to subscribe to future editions? This is the 10th edition -- idk how often they might publish more. It appears this one was initially published in DEC2022.
