I crocheted (a very wonky) BJD hat !
1/3 scale, it took me about five days because I was following a YouTube tutorial and .. the tutorial wasn't paced very well or even mostly in focus :C

I made A Thing from yarn !

my daughters went into storage when my grandmother passed away, before COVID, before TDK, before giving up my career, before the United States, losing my father-in-law & the horrors of the Pacific North West. before crash landing here in my new home. the other girls are still stored away but Cossette has finally joined me in new Efrafa. it was far more emotional than I was expecting but now she's standing & tidy and I'm so happy I could levitate. 🖤🥀💕

Da ich Urlaub habe, nutze ich das um mein Bücherzimmer in Ordnung zu bringen. Es hatte sich so halb in eine Abstellkammer verwandelt. Langsam und stetig verwandelt es sich zurück. Heute war das Regal mit den Danmei Romanen dran.

Pattern is from book Tiny Wardrobe by Hanom / Satomi Fujii ISBN: 978-4-86505-226-8At first I thought that reversing the hem on the inside out leg would salvage it by placing a ribbon on one ankle but - nope, somehow managed to sew the front seam outside in as well. 🤦🏿♀️

I'm new to the BJD Doll Hobby.
But sometimes - with no judgement just curiosity - I see a body or face sculpt and think "Who is this FOR?" Aside from the original artist I mean.
There must be a market for this HUWaGE piece of Art (?) but 72 cm of resin is gonna be a PITA to pose at BEST and a minor concussive danger at worst.

Bought some articulated hands for my BJD dolls and it's ironic that they now have more flexible hands than I currently have.

Me : So the BJD Doll I bought from that charity shop on eBay is due today. Just so you know if they've measured it wrong and it's like 60 - 80 cm - I won't be keeping it. I'll just clean it and re-home / sell it to another collector.
Boyf: NO! If Doll is Giant I want to keep Giant doll.

11 - There are many (many) different forms of adhesive and they all bond (or not) to a variety of plastics in a dazzling array of ways.
12 - Some of these adhesive reactions can offset toxic gasses ! *
13- Apoxie is a polymer form of plastic (?)
14 - You can model decent mini spine bones with clay[* No I did not do this I watched a safety video!]
