If anyone wants it, I can do a step-by-step guide to those queer juggling balls. I'm not good with crocheting terminology though, especially in English.

In short:
You need 2 balloons, 90g of millet (or something else that has about the same volume), crochet threads in the desired colors (in the picture those are not the correct colors and the "pink" isn't even crochet thread - it's too brittle and soft) and a crochet hook, scissors and a scale.

You blow up the 2 balloons and bind them close with some leftover thread and let them hang somewhere overnight, so they wear out. You open them up again and fill one with millet. One balloon filled with millet should be about 90 grams. You may have to blow up the balloon already filled with millet a few times until its filled enough. Now cut the neck of the balloon as well as the other one. Take the empty balloon, stretch it and pull it over the other one like a condom. Now you should have a ball with no millet flowing out.

Now to the crocheting. Start with 2 chains and then do a ring of 5 meshes all into the first chain. Close the ring by stabbing through the start of the ring and pulling the thread through both loops, then do a chain to start the new row.

Turn the piece around and now do a row of 10 meshes, by doubling each mesh.

Each half-ball consists of 11 rows:
5-10-15-20-25-30-35-40-45-50-50
So each row except for the last one you add 5 meshes.

So how many rows per color?
3 colors (e.g.: :PansexualFlag: ): 8 rows (5-40), 3 rows (45-50)
4 colors (e.g.: :AsexualFlag: ): 7 rows (5-35), 4 rows (40-50)
5 colors (e.g.: :TransFlag: ): 6 rows (5-30), 3 rows (35-45), 2 rows (50)
6 colors (e.g. :QueerFlag: ): 5 rows (5-25), 3 rows (30-40), 3 rows (45-50)

When you switch colors you complete the row with by pulling the thread through the other end, but don't add the chain. Cut the thread and pull it all the way through. Amigurumay J14 : petit ou grand

Le thème du jour tombe à pic pour vous dévoiler enfin ma mini Lueur terminée. Après la grande luciole en fil chenille, la voici donc en version microcrochet.
Et pour rester fidèle à la version de base, j'ai voulu lui garder son côté phosphorescent. Je me suis donc amusée à dédoubler du fil Glow in the dark de ricorumi pour pouvoir le crocheter en 1 mm 😆

1/2 Amigurumay J10 : en cours

Il faut savoir renoncer parfois... ou du moins mettre un projet de côté.
L'histoire d'une coccinelle impossible à terminer (pour le moment, j'espère)

Il y a quelques temps j'avais commencé la création d'une coccinelle. Puis une période compliquée est arrivée et je n'ai plus réussi à toucher un crochet pendant un moment.
J'ai maintenant repris, doucement, mais cette coccinelle je ne parviens pas à m'y remettre. Elle reste trop liée à cette période... J'essaye mais ça bloque toujours.

Jour 20 : points spéciaux
Je ne l'utilise pas tout le temps mais j'aime beaucoup la maille écrevisse pour finaliser un bord. Comme par exemple sur la nacelle de la montgolfière ou pour la bordure d'un panier. Elle apporte une petite finition originale tout en ajoutant un peu de tenue.

Jour 13 : gros plan
J'ai l'habitude d'utiliser des yeux de sécurité mais histoire de changer un peu, pour cette version de Géraldine la tortue, j'ai voulu lui broder des yeux. Un petit changement qui lui donne un air encore plus doux, non ? J'aime beaucoup le résultat final et je pense que je retenterai l'expérience sur d'autres modèles. 😁

Jour 8 : bon à savoir
Depuis quelque temps, j'ai adopté ce protège-doigt en silicone. Ce n'est pas ce qu'on fait de plus glamour mais il me permet de crocheter longtemps sans douleur ni démarcation à cause du fil. À moi les longues sessions de “crochetage” sans gêne. 😁
Quelqu'un d'autre utilise un accessoire du genre ?

Good morning everyone. Late rise for me as Grant is going #birding this morning and got up for the #parrots. Well, he will be going birding if this very thick fog we have at the moment clears up anyway 😉 I woke up from a dream in which I had a whole house full of parrots and they kept escaping their cages. My sister's came around and we were all running around trying to catch the birds, especially one little parrotlet who kept hiding. It was then I remembered I had totally forgotten to go to my new (in the dream) job that morning. I think my brain is telling me something about my priorities when to comes to the birds. 😂 #GoodMorning
