I spy #EMFCamp fabric at #DevOpsDay London. (👋 Hello @pikesley)

This talk of the new #pkl config lang reminds me of this #CfgMgmtCamp talk from 5 years ago: Why your configuration should have a schema by Gareth Rushgrove

Cycled across the country for the solstice (coast to coast aka c2c). Took the east to west option (Roker to Whitehaven). My longest and most elevation ride so far. Didn’t help that it was during a heat wave (Garmin reported 33c at around half way). Would have like to have been a little faster but my legs didn’t have any power after kilometre 150. Goals for the year were metric century and an imperial century. And I’ve now done 2x 200km+ rides this year. 250km next?

@jonathanmatthews @ellie Started listening to The Colour of Magic audiobook after seeing this thread (1/3 through), everything suddenly makes a lot more sense!
(Side note: Broken Drum tavern reminding me of #emfcamp #cybar)

Weather on Tuesday is looking like a full 24hrs+ within the -1ºc to 1ºc range. Seems perfect to get the #thermalimaging camera out and check for #heatloss on my house. But anyone got either guides or tips on doing it properly?

I think about this blog post regularly: https://leebriggs.co.uk/blog/2023/09/28/300_percent_problem
We really did build a fun mess didn't we?

Designed and 3D Printed this bracket to hold sata connectors in my new #Jonsbo N4 case. The straight through adaptors weren’t compatible with a model I found so came up with this. It’s not perfect as the drives don’t slide all the way back but the front does still fit on.

Got my film back! We Ride Flanders (128km) on 35mm. Decided to pick up a not so cheap disposable camera (€20) to capture some bits of Flanders.
Beginning to think that Belgium is my favourite European country and this ride has certainly cemented that further. Enjoyed the cobbles, the weather certainly held out and managed the last two best known climbs Kwaremont and Paterberg without stopping. Longer route for 2026?

Survived #werideflanders. Also calculated I consumed about 500g of carbs during it. That’s probably related.

*plots the logistics to riding to #CfgMgmtCamp from Sheffield*
Well, part of the way, London->Dover, Dunkirk->Gent. Certainly would be training for #WeRideFlanders. But also seemingly more expensive than just driving (and fewer options to stock up in the French supermarket on my return).

My Google-fu is failing me. I bought a little #MAX98357 breakout board and wired it up to an #ESP32, it works but it sounds a bit quiet and naff.
Can anyone point me where I'd learn more about speakers, and what makes them sound nice in the context of "I want to build a small box which streams internet radio which doesn't sound quiet and naff". Youtube or blog posts don't mind.

I see #ikea is launching new #Matter devices: https://www.ikea.com/global/en/newsroom/retail/the-new-smart-home-from-ikea-matter-compatible-251106/
One being the Alpstuga, an air quality sensor, reportedly measures CO2, at £25 though, will that be a true CO2 measurement? i.e. using an NDIR sensor.
My #Aranet4 is possibly the best sensor I've added to #HomeAssistant in recent years.

Once I eventually get this thing installed I'd not have paid full price for any of it. Got these for less than half price. Same for the ceiling terminals, the foam duct, unit itself.
