Wer an der Travemünder Straße in den unscheinbaren Remisenhof einbiegt – direkt am Pankeweg, nahe der Osloer Straße – entdeckt ein Kleinod: einen zweistöckigen Vintage-Showroom, der wie eine Zeitkapsel wirkt. Ein orangefarbenes „W“ prangt an dem gelben Backsteingebäude und zeigt, welche poppig-bunte Welt im Inneren wartet: Möbel, Lampen und Accessoires aus den 1950er bis 70er Jahren, liebevoll restauriert, stilsicher arrangiert, strahlen den Charme vergangener Jahrzehnte aus – ohne dabei angestaubt zu wirken. Europe manages to do this, even US have higher rate of take up of heat pumps than UK.
It’s a dirty race to the bottom in the UK because of lobbying.

It looks like a local Tesla Supercharger near me has been upgraded with the CCS1 retrofit. This Supercharger is way closer to me than the nearest Electrify America.
I might check it out this weekend. Though I likely won’t need a charge so will probably leave the stations alone.
Given there’s already people complaining about cheaper EVs using high power chargers, I expect to catch grief when I do use it.

It provides a pitch-perfect example of how to transform old dwellings while preserving their original structure and minimising #EmbodiedCarbon utterly transforming the living space without the need for an extension, and creating a cosy home that uses two-thirds less energy than before.
