#France, 2021, #DirectedBy #BrunoDumont is good-looking, with shots throughout meant to remind us of that it's a #film, not reality (my favorite has France walking "through" the car to exit).
Unfortunately, it ends with her seeming to unite with her abuser (rapist?), and introduces threads that have no coherent relevance, they're just hints that ping pong us through her..enlightenment?..disillusion?

Yes, I watched the #A24 #trailer for the upcoming #movie, "#CivilWar" where the #LincolnMemorial is destroyed by a shoulder-fired #missile (I think).
The celebration I join in my dream is on the steps of the memorial where I and others spontaneously gather and start making speeches in between unbridled "hootin' and hollerin'" in raucous joy.
I hope this is a good omen; it's the first positive thought I've had about the #election.

@ricardoharvin I joined #Mastodon because I think #Twitter will be defunct within two years. I joined Mastodon because it had a *technological* advantage over the other #twitteralternatives -- no single point of failure.
Mastodon's developers don't think their work is as anti-corporate as you do. I think you (and many other #fediverse 'defenders' are projecting your utopianism on to software and protocols).

If #PoorThings is as odd, unique, and disturbing as #Dogtooth, 2009, then it's going to be a #movie I really don't want to miss and I would likely recommend it to all who enjoy original #storytelling in #film, as I do Dogtooth (which this review missed has two daughters *and* a son).

My thread on #PBS's #AncientEarth series has me thinking that #PHD #physicist #RebeccaSmethurst may be overly optimistic in her calculations regarding the possibility of there being life as we know it existing elsewhere in the #universe.
Learning how many flukes of #geology it's taken for life on #Earth to survive may leave only thousands of planets with life at all, fewer with beings with whom we might communicate.

I am a bitt heartened to see an area I'm very interested in moving to, if I'm ever able, is in a sliver of relative safety, in terms of #ClimateChange based on these projections.
#Politically and #socially, I don't rate it as a safe area, but I live in #SouthFlorida, already one the most dangerous parts of the country, both politically and socially, so overall I'd be basically in the same situation in those regards.
