I watched *Bugonia* (2025) and really liked it. It’s wonderfully absurd - although apparently one of Lanthimos’s more restrained films.
It reminded me of *Don’t Look Up*, but it tries to say less and takes itself less seriously. Perhaps that’s exactly why it affected me more and gave me more to think about.
