I had the strangest dream in which I was a novelist, writing a story about an art forger. I had stumbled across an abandoned storefront that I thought would make the perfect setting for my fictional art forger's studio.
On waking, this got me thinking of my long-abandoned art blog. Maybe I should start writing again, I do enjoy a good forgery.

Here's some really good news. I do like that beach, it's about 45 minutes from where I grew up - but it's also a tourist trap that has been exploited by local business to immense profit for generations. Respecting treaty rights is so important, and is one of the most important things Canadians can do to try to repair ther relationship with First Nations peoples.

I just found out that Alex Hacke left Einstürzende Neubauten after the last tour. I'm a bit heartbroken, but now extra glad I saw them in Berlin last Easter. Without Einheit and now Hacke it's not really Neubauten anymore... end of an era.

Unless someone specifically says "I'm sorry" it's probably "fuck you", except if someone uses "sorry" as an interjection like "Yeah sorry I was gonna (x)". If you step on someone's foot and they say "sorry" they aren't apologizing. It's short for "Look where ta fuck yer goin buddy before I fuckin dummy ya right here."

Since my initial post that Campbell's has inaccurate "prepared in Canada" packaging, a few people have been countering with this CBC article - https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windsor/buying-canadian-trade-war-freshco-1.7475613
This CBC article is only situationally accurate.There are different versions of Campbell's packaging. Some say "designed in Canada". Some say "prepared in Canada". Some say nothing. Some list the address as Mississauga, some as Toronto.
I don't make claims without receipts ;)

Worth noting there are a few version of Campbell's soup can packaging out there so I took a screenshot of this one for sale on amazon.ca (there's a double whammy for you).
Note that the address on this Campbell's soup can is just a last-mile distribution facility. There has been no production at this location since 2018. It is not, in fact. "prepared in Canada".

So yesterday I was startled from a nap by the doorbell, leapt out of bed and slipped on my blanket which had fallen to the floor. I nearly jointed my thigh on the corner of the bed, hit my shoulder and forearm pretty hard on a bookshelf going down, but broke my fall by bashing my temple against the horizontal edge of a shelf. I nearly passed out but In the end, I did not have a concussion (whew). I'm pretty sure that this is how I'm going to die one day.

Some blame Jagmeet Singh for Justin Trudeau's crash. It wasn't the NDP job to save JT from a vote of non-confidence, it was JT's job to satisfy the NDP.
JT could have resigned in the summer. Instead he pulled a Chretien. Carney or Joly might have rallied... now there's a PP lead thanks to JT's hubris.
I'm voting #NDP.
