Canyonlands National Park, UTThis is the way you get down to that road seen in yesterday's photo. You can see that exact road at the left side of this photo. Yes, it's a long way down!
Not everyone likes these steep switchbacks, but the road is well maintained and fairly wide as these things go; plenty of places to pass a vehicle coming in the opposite direction.
I forgot to mention in yesterday's post: this is in the Island in the Sky District of the park.

Albuquerque, NMLast week riding on the levee trail an orangish dragonfly quickly crossed my path. The shape matches this species and based on historical record this species may be active in NM this early in the season. So this is my educated guess.
