True. Wait until they want to hire them back. They will have nosebleeds from the increased salaries they’ll need to pay!

Proposed a #DrupalCon session and they asked a bunch of demographic questions, which was all well and good for ensuring #inclusion, but the one that stuck out was for sexual preference. So weird to be asked about who I am physically attracted to in a professional setting.
This might be a case where they should just ask yes/no for whether you are openly #queer.

CW: Increasing levels of profanity
were developing this thing, it was the AI Control Tower, but now, miraculously, it's the fucking Super Intelligence Control Tower?? Even if for no other reason at all, FUCK THAT. Fuck all that noise. Even if my company decides they need to implement this shit, I'm not touching it. No fucking way. 2/2

I'm complaining a lot about work today, but it is what it is. My company uses ServiceNow, which has recently announced Arc, which is a new AI agent for enterprises. My company, like many, is currently exploring AI in multiple ways, so I was doing some research on this new "Arc". In the description I find, "Arc is governed and secured by the ServiceNow Super Intelligence Control Tower." What is that you ask? I check some video material, and it all refers to AI Control Tower. "Just, like, be a browser" is like saying "just, like, be a building"
A browser has many functions. A browser can do lots of things for lots of people. Your browser needs will not necessarily be the same as others. Your experience of the web and what you value about it might not be the same as others.
"Just be a browser" implies a uniformity that doesn't match reality
"Just be a browser"... makes you sound like a moron.

I was right in the middle of writing an email at work when my screen went black with "Restarting" in white text in the middle of the display. Last night I got a notification that said updates had been installed with two options. One, restart now. Two, restart in 5 minutes. I told it to restart now. It didn't. A few minutes later I was ready to sign off, and the pop-up reappeared. I told it to restart in 5 minutes. This morning it hadn't restarted. Now? Restarts with no warning. Windows is shit..

I saw Smashing Pumpkins last night on their Rats in a Cage tour celebrating 30 years of one of my all time favorite albums, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
It was an awesome show with beautiful visuals, and the band really rocked.

Cllr @mariecasserly.ie talking sense about #roadsafety effort in #Ireland.
“We should not have to reinvent the wheel. Other countries are demonstrating what can be achieved through effective enforcement, safer road design, appropriate speed limits and technology. The problem is not a lack of evidence. It is a lack of political will to turn that evidence into action.”
#ZeroVision because we must not inflame #motordom. No political will to act.

Thingstudio is open for testers: https://thingstudio.net
Node-RED-style flows for microcontrollers, compiled to MicroPython and run on the board. It's alpha until a few people who aren't me have got it installed and blinking an LED.
If you have an ESP32 or a Pico lying about, I'd love to hear how far you get, and where you swore.

I was actually the first to vote in this! 😂
I saw The Sun post the article and went straight in.
Why don’t you add your vote too?
