@mconley
Now we just need them to stop sending things to Google via "#GoogleSafeBrowsing" and other telemetry.Or get them to publicly endorse the #DigitalFeudalismCounteraAction setup that blocks the plutocrats at the network level. 😄
If they are seriously using #MSGitHub at Mozilla, then really what hope is there?

@necedema @Schouten_B @mconley Frankly, one of these days, #ReactOS is going to become the "perfect" OS for people trying to escape the proprietary systems -- not #Linux.
Why?
Simple, unchanging UI (no Liquid Glass shenanigans), and compatibility with the widest software library in existence.
It has always been about what you can DO with the computer.

Is there a name for that hard problem in computer science? You know, the naming problem?

The Joy of Coding returns today with Episode 440! Come join me while I #livehack on #firefox !
I'm still sorting out how to get center-crop text node support for us with the Layout team, so in the meantime, I'm hoping we can focus on factoring out a reusable download item component that we can use in our sidebar implementation today. Let's see if we can make it work!

The Joy of Coding returns today with Episode 439! Come join me while I #livehack on #Firefox !
We made some great progress last week, converting the download panel item UI to use HTML rather than XUL. Let's keep going and get it to look right, and if we're lucky, we can try getting it to show up in our new download sidebar that we're working on!

Massive bucket from RJ Barrett for the #TorontoRaptors to beat the Cavs in OT to force Game 7. Instant classic - it's up there with the Kawhi bounce.

After a week away, I'm back, and we're going to keep plugging away at this downloads sidebar. We got some tests started last time, let's see if we can get those done and transition the downloads item UI to use good ol' HTML across the board.

We'll get the rest of the episode guide changes merged in, and then let's take a look at some review feedback for the remote renderer stuff we wrote last week, and try to apply it / post some new revisions.
We might find some time to work on some other things too!

The Joy of Coding returns today with Episode 431! Come join me while I #livehack on #firefox !
I have a rough prototype of the remote newtab UI downloading mechanism that we've been tinkering with the last few weeks. Let's clean it up a bit and try to make it more robust!
Today will be a slightly shorter episode due to an unskippable meeting.

The Joy of Coding returns today with Episode 430! Come join me while I #livehack on #firefox !
I'm going to try to walk through a hack-y prototype patch I've written to get the newtab UI code from our Remote Settings service. I also want to describe a new strategy for getting the cached streams that may involve writing a new custom protocol handler. Let's see how it goes!

The activation window patches we've been working on for a few weeks have landed, but there's some follow-up automated testing to write. Let's try that today! Or maybe we'll do something completely different. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Joy of Coding returns today with Episode 427! Come join me while I #livehack on #Firefox !
Today, I'm going to break down a very subtle crasher bug that I was investigating last week. Spoiler alert: it was cache invalidation.
After that, if there's time, I might review some patches!

We're going to continue with the mechanism we started planning last week, to hide / change various New Tab settings during the first 48 hours of a profile's lifetime. Let's see if we can get some tests written!

The Joy of Coding returns today with Episode 424! Come join me while I #livehack on #firefox !
I'm getting back to hacking on newtab again - this time, I want to experiment with some logic for hiding top sites and stories by default during the first 48 hours of a new install's lifetime. I'm not sure how much code we'll write, but we'll certainly start sketching out ideas on how we could do this.

Do I, or anybody following me, know anybody working at #CIBC bank on any of their web software teams? I have a web compatibility bug to report to them.
