RE: https://mastodon.social/@richcampbell/116131632906487922
I’m back on @RunAsRadio for round 3! 🎧
It was great to catch up with @richcampbell about #multicloud #SaaS.
We dig into:
🔹 Getting SaaS workloads to #Azure #AKS
🔹 #Kubernetes as the bridge
🔹 #OpenTofu, #Prometheus, & more -
What a ride this year has been! In May I was laid off from MSFT. Soon after became a #DockerCaptain, landed a new role at @Jamf leading #Azure + #AKS, & now I’ve been re-awarded a #MicrosoftMVP for the 11th year!
Honored to be back. Congrats to all new & renewed MVPs!

New Blog Post on How to Optimize Cloud Costs in AWS, Azure, and GCP!
Cloud costs can spiral fast without the right strategies in place. In my latest blog post on Pluralsight, I walk through practical, proven cloud cost optimization strategies that help you reduce spend without sacrificing performance.
From rightsizing and autoscaling to architectural design and FinOps practices, these are the same approaches I’ve used to help teams get their cloud costs under control while still scaling effectively.
If you’re running workloads in Azure, AWS, or GCP and want to spend smarter, this post is for you.

My 28th course just dropped!
This week my 28th course went live on Pluralsight. It’s about a topic that’s becoming more important by the day: Agentic AI Safety and Alignment.
When building AI agents, how do you ensure they don’t go rogue? This course teaches you how to design AI agent systems that behave safely, stay aligned with human intent, and reflect your company’s values.
This course teaches you how to:
Prevent unintended behaviors
Embed ethics and safety checks into agents
Guard against issues like prompt injection
Keep human oversight (human in the loop)
Avoid unexpected bills or policy violationsIn the course I demo using Microsoft hashtag#CoPilot Studio and hashtag#Flowise, showing how to build AI agent systems that are safe, controllable, and aligned with a companies values.

It was an honor to deliver two sessions yesterday at the Applied AI Conference! Over 500 people attended the event, and both of my sessions had great turnouts.
It was fun presenting on hashtag#Docker Model Run to an engaged audience eager to learn how to easily run hashtag#LLMs locally. Most of the room already uses Docker, Inc but had not heard of DMR before my session, so the questions and use case ideas were fantastic. One attendee even said he is using my talk as justification for a new laptop!
The fireside chat with Michael A Jackson, hosted by Dr. Sean Masterman, Ed.D., went off without a hitch. We had a discussion going beyond the hype of hashtag#ArtificialIntelligence. We filled the large hall, and the audience jumped right in being engaged once we opened it up for questions.
Already looking forward to next year!

My first post as a Docker Captain went live on the official Docker, Inc blog yesterday!
As a new Docker Captain, I’m excited to share my first contribution: "a walkthrough on how to use Ask Gordon, Docker’s new AI assistant, to containerize your apps".
Whether you're new to Docker or just looking to move faster, Ask Gordon helps you go from source code to container quickly.
Check out the blog post here:

Diving into AI continues! I recently published two new blogs on various AI topics:
1️⃣ Behind the Buzzword: What is MCP (are MCP Servers)?
If you’ve been hearing “MCP” pop up more often but aren’t quite sure what it really means or why it matters, this post breaks it down in a straightforward way. Great for anyone looking to cut through the noise and understand where MCP fits into the AI landscape.

2️⃣ How to Run an LLM Locally on Your Desktop (with Docker Model Runner)
Running large language models (LLMs) doesn’t always mean relying on the cloud. In this post, I cover how you can run them right on your own machine using Docker Model Runner. This is huge for developers who want flexibility, privacy, or just want to experiment hands-on.

Both blogs are packed with insights and aimed at making complex AI concepts easier to understand.
