Similar to a Dutch internment camp in Surinam I wrote this #Wikipedia article for a couple years ago. Likewise there Germans were interned because of their citizenship (basically, those who happened to be nearby when the war broke out; sailors, missionaries, random people). It included some known Nazi sympathizers but also non-Nazis or anti-Nazis. I don't believe it had any German-Jewish internees in that case.

Indeed some "natives" were willing to ally with some colonisers, where indigenous elites were exploitative. Likewise some "colonisers" (e.g. indentured servants from Europe) allied themselves with indigenous people because they themselves were exploited by settler elites. #ClassAnalysis

For example, a medium roast from a grocery store is going to be roasted quite dark for my personal taste. Likewise a "dark roast" from a roastery would probably just be slightly more developed medium roast, but still be lighter than a standard #sbux however.

Feeds need human curation to maximize a signal-to-noise ratio of trust. Once trust as a token of veracity enters the equation that manual labor accrues outsized value. It may well be that RSS and email (newsgroups) as technologies with likewise affordances gain resurgence.
Hence, all the more salient to see what Meta wants with the Fediverse.
We'll need technology and media concepts that amplify the trust vector. New wayfinding tools, too. Maybe there's a useful application of LLMs?

While I'd love to see #GamingOnMac the reality is the majority of games just aren't designed on Mac, and I don't really know if a "Gaming Mode" is going to make a huge difference for the types of games most of us could play.

Fabled Groups and Legendary Places (background)
There are countless factions operating in the Alhezar Ocean, but not all are well-known or documented. Likewise, there are many points of interest in the Ocean, but some of the most interesting ones are far off the beaten path. These fabled groups and legendary places are so labeled because finding them, sometimes even confirming they truly exist, is a challenge for even the most skilled crew. One does not simply visit the Forever City, for instance. First, one hears rumors of its existence. Then, one corroborates those rumors, researches the legends, cross-checks them against historical records, and discovers one – or many – potential sites. Then the journey to those sites is laced with perils and pitfalls, false starts and dead ends. It is a true adventure in itself.
