The #oilpipeline was providing partial bypass for the blocked-off #StraitofHormuz in the #PersianGulf, through the #RedSea. If the Houthis block the Bab al-Mandeb strait, the marine traffic between the #Meditteranean sea and the #IndianOcean through the #SuezCanal and #RedSea would be cutoff.
With this, Iran now controls a second marine choke point through their proxy. And with the oil bypass pipeline shutdown, expect the #CrudeOil prices to rise further.
