  17. Some #SartorialTheology from St Hilary of Poitiers:

"We must clothe ourselves in foolishness that we may gain wisdom; not in the foolishness of hazardous conclusions, but in the foolishness of a modest sense of our own infirmity."

  18. Gregory of Nazianzus gives us some #SartorialTheology in his second Oration Against Julian the Apostate. He reports a cross appeared in the sky over Jerusalem after Julian's project to rebuild the Temple failed and left marks on everyone's clothing.

  19. The diocesan museum at Albano had some papal vestments on display including these leather shoes worn by Pope John Paul II.

The Crown that awaits King Charles III

St. Edward's Crown has been used at Coronations for centuries. This is a ''new'' version, made in 1661 after the Restoration of the Monarchy.

The original was melted down under the rule of Oliver Cromwell.

as much as everyone loves the heavenly bodies met, Iโ€™m always sad that lynda carter never makes the list of favourites from that night
(her crown says โ€œnever forgetโ€ in hebrew and she wore a star of david on the backโ€ฆ perfect playing with the theme)
