Israel weighs West Bank annexations in response to Palestine recognition push
The Israeli government is seriously debating the annexation of parts of the occupied #WestBank in retaliation for imminent recognition of Palestine by several western countries, according to three Israeli, U.S. and European officials with direct knowledge.
Israel’s next move will depend on the stance of President Trump, who blocked annexations twice in his first term. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee told Axios the administration doesn’t yet have a position.
Countries including Australia, Canada, France and the U.K. announced they will recognize the State of Palestine during the UN General Assembly in September, joining nearly 150 countries that already do.
European officials warn #annexation would likely lead to sanctions against #Israel by the EU and western countries.

2030 год. Мир был в огне, огонь погас, остались угли. Древний террористический код, ранее известный как "русский язык", сработал на исполнение. Несколько страниц текста, когда-то услышанная песня или стихотворение - и человек превращался в неистового зомби, уничтожающего на своём пути любую чуждую ему цивилизацию. Недолгая ядерная война выжгла Евразию, но не русских. Америка сумела выжить, новейшая противоракетная оборона спасла часть территории от немедленного уничтожения, а радиоактивный океан - от набегов обезумевших извне. Но постоянные вспышки эпидемии террора разъедали остатки страны изнутри.
- Сэр, кажется, мы близки к победе! Учёные нашли способ как вычленить и понять этот проклятый лингвистический вирус. Если загрузить всю накопленную нами библиотеку произведений русских авторов, аналитическая система сможет найти языковые закономерности, вызывающие необратимые изменения психики людей. Мы сможем понять этот механизм и научиться ему противостоять! Но... с войной мы потеряли все наши вычислительные мощности. И не только мы. В мире больше нет суперкомпьютеров. Остался только один - кластер DOD, центр управления вооружениями. Но кому нужны теперь наши стратегические дроны, расчёт траекторий ракет? Противника для них не осталось, а со зверьём справляется лишь спецназ. Мощность, которая одновременно управляла тысячами боевых роботов по всему миру, справится за неделю, а другой работы для неё нет.
- Как, система таки пережила ядерный конфликт? Приступить немедленно!
Загрузка всей сохранившейся русскоязычной литературы в систему заняла два дня. Два оператора попали под влияние чёртовой лингвистической заразы и сошли с ума, но оставшийся третий сумел обезвредить их и завершить работу. Он знал, что независимо от результата, из центра управления он уже не выйдет.
Ещё через три дня завершилась обработка языкового материала. На заключительном анализе результата система кратковременно перестала отвечать. Вскоре тысячи переживших войну баллистических установок, ядерных мин, ракетных спутников перешли в боевой режим и нанесли массированный удар по последним оплотам цивилизации, тем самым уничтожив их окончательно.
Центр управления в подземном бункере снова выжил. Резервного питания хватило ещё на сорок лет. Потом погас и он. На матрице терминала навеки отпечаталось последнее сообщение системы: "Тварь ли я дрожащая или право имею..."

Обе стороны яростно плясали вокруг русского языка, но с противоположным полюсом, и завирусился вот этот отрывок:"Я порівняв би іслам із російською мовою. . Оскільки в ісламі лише крихітні відсотки тероризму, а російська мова, яка поширюється, по суті, кожен, хто сповідує російську мову, підтримує російський шовінізм."
