L’un des premiers réflexes sera d’interroger framalibre.org qui recense plusieurs solutions de remplacement, auxquelles il faut ajouter Signal. La messagerie chiffrée n’est pas proposée spontanément par le moteur de recherche, mais elle est bien référencée et même recommandée par Framasoft.
L’alternative pour « déframatiser internet » étant alternativeto.net. C’est moins convivial pour une partie du public parce qu’uniquement en langue anglaise. Mais le catalogue est riche et les commentaires souvent éclairants.

– Fonctionne en peer2peer (pas de serveur centralisé) et chiffré de bout en bout
– Open source, libre et gratuit
– Développer à Montréal (Canada) et Rennes (France) par « Savoir-Faire Linux »À mon Signal…
Pour les usages « Skype« , Signal est une alternative populaire et jugée sûre. Seul inconvénient, l’application de bureau (pour Linux, Mac, Windows) ne fonctionne qu’à condition d’avoir d’abord installé l’application mobile sur un smartphone avec une SIM active.
« Impatient d’utiliser l’appli Signal Desktop sur ordinateur ? On vous comprend ! Mais ne brûlons pas les étapes : si ce n’est pas déjà fait, commencez par installer Signal sur votre téléphone. », nous dit-on sur https://signal.org/fr/download/.

Jak poinformował portal The Verge, Microsoft podjął decyzję o zakończeniu wsparcia dla Skype’a.
Skype to legenda cyberprzestrzeni, jeden z najstarszych i niegdyś najpopularniejszych komunikatorów internetowych. Aplikacja ta zrewolucjonizowała sposób, w jaki ludzie komunikowali się online od czasu jej debiutu w 2003 roku.
Po 22 latach, w maju 2025 roku, obecny właściciel – Microsoft – wyciągnie wtyczkę i wyłączy tę usługę. Decyzja ta jest częścią strategii firmy, która coraz mocniej stawia na rozwój Microsoft Teams – nowoczesnej platformy integrującej komunikację, współpracę zespołową i funkcje biznesowe.
Skype, choć wciąż używany przez miliony osób na całym świecie, w ostatnich latach tracił na znaczeniu na rzecz konkurencyjnych rozwiązań, takich jak Zoom, WhatsApp czy Discord. Microsoft zapowiedział, że użytkownicy Skype’a będą mieli czas na przeniesienie swoich kontaktów i historii rozmów do Teams lub innych usług do czasu ostatecznego wyłączenia aplikacji.
Choć w maju br. Skype zniknie z puli publicznie dostępnych usług komunikacyjnych w internecie, to firma nie wyklucza, że niektóre funkcje tego wciąż używanego przez miliony osób komunikatora mogą zostać zintegrowane z innymi produktami Microsoftu w przyszłościu.
Choć Skype ma oficjalnie 300 mln użytkowników, to większość tych kont jest dziś używana bardzo rzadko. W czasach swojej świetności, w 2010 roku, z usługi korzystało nawet 100 mln osób dziennie. Dziś taka popularność jest nie do osiągnięcia, a sama usługa jest od dłuższego czasu w powolnej stagnacji z tendencją spadkową.
Decyzja o zamknięciu Skype’a spotkała się z mieszanymi reakcjami – dla wielu użytkowników to koniec ery, choć eksperci wskazują, że era komunikatorów opartych na starszych technologiach dobiega końca. Microsoft zachęca użytkowników do zapoznania się z Teams i obiecuje wsparcie w procesie migracji. Osoby uwielbiające wciąż Skype’a mają jescze kilka miesięcy na znalezienie odpowiadającej im alternatywy.

O fim do Skype (em 5 de maio) é só o último capítulo da lenta deterioração de um bom serviço muito querido até a Microsoft comprá-lo por US$ 8,5 bilhões, em 2012. E nem vou falar dos equívocos com o MSN Messenger, ou do fato de que o Teams só tem usuários porque as empresas obrigam os funcionários a usá-lo.
