and here i am, bragging again about a new toy! i am impressed by the size, integration, functionality and overall quality of this combo. since i've got #miniware heating plate from #adafruit i am kind of a fan of the brand, i need to say. they are something different. (from the bottom: load, two power supplies, control unit)

Managed to get a cheap temperature/humidity sensor from Adafruit talking to PicoCalc Basic.
Just flinging bits out the i2c bus, then seeing what comes back, staring a datasheet, trying out ideas.

This is a Wemos ESP32-S3 pro mini board, it has a 0.85" 128x128 #GC9A01 LCD, and I'm using an #Adafruit Library - which seems to work very well - except when it comes to displaying text.....
It's like the #font is render flipped and upside down, has anyone seen this before - how would you go about fixing it? -

Made some significant progress on the topper today.
Got too tired to continue and started making mistakes but this is a good place to stop for the night.
I'll add the top neopixel and double check the wiring tomorrow before firng it up flat like this when I'm (hopefully) fresh. And yes, the telco patch wire is back again!
An initial foray into electronic 'sculpture' where I can hide all my mistakes!

While I wait for the pcb of the prototype #LedMatrix I resurrected an old project involving an e-ink display.
I stopped it previously because I couldn't find a font big enough for the display with the symbols I needed.
I still could not find such a font so today I wrote a tool to convert a font to be used with #adafruit's GFX library :) -
Had a crack at getting the lights to pulse tonight. The duration of the loop and easing of the duty cycle need work but the principle is sound!
