#NeoPixels seem fine -- the default pattern as it started up made me think they were broken but maybe it's just ugly -- when I set them all to #FFFFFF from the repl, I get all of them (1 on the back board, 6 + 12 on the front board) all nice and bright and white

Years ago I got these NeoPixel strips that did not come all attached with the ability to snap them apart *or* leave them as one big unit...
So I made a jig to hold them together so I can solder them all in series.

I added 2 meters of neopixels to my cargo bike to help me be seen at night time. I programmed a spiffy Tron-like rainbow chaser effect but also took this long-exposure shot too.

They said this wouldn’t work but it bloody well does! Just three more digits to solder up (161 individual LEDs!) and I’ll have a clock!
I’m so glad it does work though because I ordered two hundred of these pcbs 😂

If the #marimapper wants manual exposure control, then it better be prepared for the consequences! 😉
The new 'webcam' has manual control of everything on the lens. Mapping should just require zooming to frame 'target', then focus, then stop down aperture for the mapper. 👍

Made some significant progress on the topper today.
Got too tired to continue and started making mistakes but this is a good place to stop for the night.
I'll add the top neopixel and double check the wiring tomorrow before firng it up flat like this when I'm (hopefully) fresh. And yes, the telco patch wire is back again!
An initial foray into electronic 'sculpture' where I can hide all my mistakes!

Seemingly it is no longer possible to get #Neopixels working on a #RaspberryPI just by installing the #Pimoroni #UnicornHAT library - they've discontinued the hardware and the software fails to install :(

Gave my desk a #NeoPixels makeover based on some leftovers I had (the black holes are from soldering strips together). Really digging the soothing moving gradient. It's powered by an old BBC #microbit that connects to MakeCode over #WebUSB. #ProjectFugu 🐡 FTW!

Latest WIP. 12 Neopixel clock. Over 20 hour print on a P1P. Working on adding sunrise and sunset animation at the appropriate time calculating the times from the geolocation. Black PETG base. Silk white PLA reflectors (better than aluminum tape). White PETG diffusers. RGBW #NeoPixels controlled by an #ESp32-C3 running #MicroPython.

Working on next prototype of #BrumAirHack mask. Have cut a slit in the mask and glued tissue paper over to diffuse the light. Now to test with #neopixels
