@chrisjrn I would love to see that talk adapted for the distributed systems space 'cos there are plenty of free speech maximalist #DWeb projects being given center stage; prominent examples being #Holochain, #Nostr and #Bluesky.
Are these outcomes due to unaccountable power accumulating in the network (a similar centralizing problem), or is there something else intrinsic to distributed networks that fuels individualism? There's a thesis in there somewhere 😂 -

I found my way here seeking a more empathetic and ethically aligned town square. At some point a "recovering technologist" needs to leave the industry entirely in order to do any good- tech communities are much less likely to care about actual genocide being enabled by their peers than they are to care about their own entitlements to innocence and virtue.
I'll be talking intermittently about #FarRight recruitment in #Beatnik commmunities, #internet futures, #decolonial praxis in #Tech and #HarmReduction in these spheres and those beyond.

They have been aware of progressive efforts and learnings being extracted from and disseminated throughout libertarian & fascist communities via these relationships.

@internetarchive @dweb At this point I believe the journalistic community should be alerted to The Internet Archive & DWeb Camp's ongoing collaboration with hate actors. People need to be debriefed. There is a long history here of refusing to acknowledge cultural problems whilst meaninglessly touting the importance of EDI and hiding behind a set of principles that #DWebCamp and #TheInternetArchive themselves are completely unwilling to commit to.

Meanwhile communities adjacent to & within #Holochain and #DWeb are circulating Balaji Srinivasan conferences.
