  3. During DWeb Camp 2026, D:food Fellows and attendees gathered their thoughts and feelings in the Seedbed tent. 💭

Now, the Seedbed Harvest has travelled to DWeb Camp Cascadia with Jenni Ottilie Keppler.

🌱 If you are there, take some time to go through this visual and written journey. It’s worth it!

Six days left to get last-minute tickets for DWeb Camp Cascadia, by @[email protected] 💕

Salt Spring Island, Canada, Jul 30 - Aug 3.

A few shots from last year:

  7. made a thread of all the book / video recommendations i got from #dwebcamp

so far, after watching "alles ist eins. ausser der null" (loved) and cracking into "on freedom" by timothy snyder (also love), i have confirmed dweb is my kind of people

  8. Had the pleasure of finally meeting @yisiliu AFK at #dwebcamp after years of bumping into them across the internet.

  9. RE: social.vivaldi.net/@everton137

Well, I want to go to the next open Mondays of @xHain_hackspace. Very likely I will find someone already working on it.

I also found a friend who got a #LoRa device at #DwebCamp, another event I just missed. ;/

The non-addictive nature of the #Fediverse has a downside: if you take a break, you might miss out on great things happening near you!

  10. RE: pan.rent/@newswimming/11692832

    Welcome to pan.rent @newswimming 🌻

I am so happy friends and lovely creatures are joining our little corner of the Fediverse after #DWebCamp 🤩

  11. Back in LA after #DwebCamp in Alte Hölle; migrating now to #Fediverse 👋 please welcome my #introduction

My middle name comes from 新 (new) 泳 (swimming); meaning? my work is to bridge cultures and open new ways of thinking; we've got to move some rocks to let the waters flow

Trained as a documentary filmmaker, now designing multimodal systems for interdisciplinary studies ( #obsidian and #knowledgegraphs ); i'm currently catching up with #examprep for my PhD #studywithme #undercommons #autofiction #storytime

SPOTTED: Did you know? Palantir's grounding ideologies actually derived from Frankfurt school pedagogy. How leftist cultural theory could become co-opted into a techno-fascist moral catastrophe signals at a limit to interpretive method. You'll always find me gravitating toward #reparative approaches to education, arts, urban science, technology, etc. and in dialogue across sectors #letstalk

  13. Great after #dwebcamp barbeque at @cbase tonight in Berlin.

Again so many nice talks about #decentralized networks and #open #protocols together with @berlinfediday & @matrix

  14. Here’s @[email protected] while speed running launching a svelte atproto app on @[email protected]

That @[email protected] shirt? Yes, I’ve been a swag ferry, bringing some extra shirts from #AtmosphereConf to #DWebCamp and Berlin

  15. 🚄 Berlin to Sanremo

This thread documents my journey home from #DWebCamp, exclusively via railway, expected to last 25 hours.

More specifically: yesterday I travelled back to Berlin from Alte Hölle, Wiesenburg (Mark) station; today from Warschauer Straße to Berlin Hauptbanhof, then to München Hauptbanhof, then overnight to Firenze Campo di Marte, then tomorrow to Genova Piazza Principe, and finally to Taggia Arma.

Most importantly, here is the playlist of this journey.

  16. I had a lovely lunch with part of the @fsfe staff at the Software Freedom Flat today.

Many memories from the place, and plenty of interesting conversationssss!

While you sit on the toilet, you can admire the FSFE’s vision for 2048.

    (Glad that @kirschner is wearing #DWebCamp’s T-shirt!)

  17. I was talking to @technostructures and @michael at #dwebcamp about the idea of having a bridge-a-thon, some sort of in person event where people who are working on bridging open protocols could explore the potential primitives together.

  18. It was such a fun to host the #PublicAI track of this year’s #DWebCamp with the brilliant @brunovianna and @metasj!
Special shoutouts to Václav Pavlín and @Wtebbens who joined Bruno and I for a conversation about making local AI work for communities 🔥
Also a huge thank you to @mai, @brewsterkahle, and the whole @dweb camp team that made this event possible. BEST #DWEB EVER???

  19. 🌍 We just got back from Dweb Camp, hosted by the Internet Archive in the German forest — and what a gathering.

Alongside @commonsnetwork @goteo_fund and friends across the Fediverse, we presented the Democratic Tech Fund prototype and ran sessions on governance, P2P financing, and community-owned social spaces.

loved our weaving, making music and singing. introduced people to each other. deepend connections and get to know new humans and their projects. had cold swims at the pool & meditations in the evening.

thank all of you - you`ve made it special. 🔥

  24. @dweb

  25. 🏕️ DWeb Camp: Root Systems has ended.

🔨 We are still in the middle of teardown, quite tired but immensely grateful.

Give us a few days to travel back home and rest, then we will start sharing memories and talk recordings. 🌼

💚 Thank you all for joining us for the first ever camp in Europe!
