Die Schwebebahn in Wuppertal ist ein langjähriges Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Unsere Wuppertaler Autorin und Musikerin Angelika Pauly kommt in ihrem Alltag nicht an der Bahn vorbei und widmet ihr deshalb eine neue CD, mit der sie sich dem Wahrzeichen thematisch bereits zum dritten Mal widmet.
In dem ohrwurmverdächtigen peppigen Lied "Die Wuppertaler Schwebebahn" geht es um eine Reise mit dem außergewöhnlichen, aber sehr sicheren Verkehrsmittel. Angelika Pauly beschreibt im Lied die Fahrt vorbei am "Grünen Zoo Wuppertal" und nennt Vorteile einer Fahrt mit der Wuppertaler Schwebebahn, unter anderem, dass man damit am Schnellsten ist. Dieses Lied ist auch in einer rein instrumentalen Version enthalten."Schwebebahn- Sternenfahrt" ist ein ruhiges Lied, das auch inhaltlich wie eine gesungene Gutenachtsgeschichte wirkt, die jedoch einige lustige Momente und Überraschungen bereithält und definitiv sowohl einen Fluss guter Gedanken als auch Bilder vor dem geistigen Auge anregt.
Das Lied "Ich hab 'ne Schwebebahn zuhaus" beschreibt als Art Gedankenexperiment, wie es wäre, wenn man eine eigene Schwebebahn zu Hause hätte. In der Spielzeugbahn könnte man ins Land der Träume reisen und verstorbene Menschen aus seinem Leben wiedersehen, die dann mit einem zusammen Schwebebahn fahren. Dieses bittersüße Gedankenspiel kostet Angelika Pauly in ihrem Lied voll aus, so nachvollziehbar, dass man es ihr gönnt. Letztlich wirkt die Spielzeugschwebebahn wie eine Art Totem.

Each store has its own way of embracing you, embracing the reader, and creating a sense of the universe expanding. For anybody curious and interested in printed matter, the more bookstores you go into, the more you’ll realize how many different ways there are to be curious. That helps us set a foundation to be more knowledgeable about the world we inhabit. The practical and the sheer joy of it.
