My biggest disconnect with the modern world is that I hate using my phone. When I'm out walking I use it to listen to podcasts, audiobooks, or music but otherwise I maybe have 10 or less minutes screentime on it every day. Which doesn't mean I'm not glued to a screen, cause I have both a desktop and a nice new (Xmas present) laptop, but I just despise that particular screen and would often rather stare at the wall than be glued to my phone when out in public or spending time with people

Last night while taking a walk I listened to a couple episodes of an old time radio show about the Blue Beetle in which he took on a "dope ring" who peddled in weed and opium. It was pretty fun.

It is a very gloomy morning, but I'm doing my best to bring Good Vibes to it by spending my first hour awake or so while waiting for drugs and caffeine pills to kick in listening to the album All the Young Dudes by Mott the Hoople.

I bought a 12 pack of Faygo Rock & Rye despite having never tasted it because my friend spoke highly of it and it was the smallest they had available. Fortunately, I'm happy to report that it is quite tasty. Reminds me a lot of Red Cream Soda but with a little bit of cherry tartness. I will definitely drink this whole 12 pack.

I tried to read Bone by Jeff Smith when I was a teenager but it just didn't appeal to me back then, but now that I'm revisiting it in my 30s I'm enjoying it a lot more about 90 pages into the over 1,000. I think it was just too cute for me back then, but idgaf about stuff like that now.

I do genuinely love how road course racing has evolved in #NASCAR
Even with some struggles with the new cars passing, it is some of the most entertaining racing out there and frankly I wish they'd do it even more than they do. All I want though is for them to finally drop stage cautions at these tracks that artificially screw with the strategy.

Don't have baseball on until 12:15 and racing isn't on until like 3 PM, so I'm just killing time by watching notable 90s skateboarding videos cause I really appreciate the DIY nature of these productions with just a camcorder and fish eye lens as well as the classic punk/metal/hiphop soundtracks.

It is surprising that the concept of "anal probes" in alien abductions is relatively recent. It wasn't really until Communion by Whitley Strieber in 1987 that it really started to become common in abduction stories, which is also started a number of other tropes in the abduction genre being such a bestselling book and generally pretty well written compared to many, coming from an accomplished fiction writer
