  1. If you are reading this toot and is at , drop me a DM. Happy to chat about Diagnostic Classification Models(DCMs/CDMs), Bayesian Networks, and Classroom Assessments!

  2. Why can’t we call Quantitative Psychologist psychostatisticians like we call people doing quantitative stuff in bio as biostatistician ? 😁

  3. It would be cool if ETS or NCME started a mastodon instance for quantitative psychology folks 😁

  4. @ojala I find with support and instant rendering a pretty much good user experience. I use editor.

I tried TeXmacs which was supposed to be a replacement to LaTeX but it didn’t stick. You have to remember a lot of hot keys to get a good from TeXmacs.

  5. @bdeonovic thank you. Yes I have read Bishop’s book. I was looking for applied stuff and already existing tools in this space. In , I know of .jl

  6. , throw me some good resources to get started on . Currently I am thinking of "Bayesian Networks with examples in R" by Scutari & Denis

  7. Since I'm on a instance, I thought I'll share the top 5 tools I use & recommend:

    1. :For Computational Modeling & Data Science

    2. : For Digital Whiteboarding

    3. : WYSIWYG Markdown Editor

    4. : For technical publishing (presentations, blogging, WiKis, Textbooks etc.) & computational notebooks. + JuliaLang + = 🔥

    5. : Diagramming for publications.

  8. Re#introduction 👋

I'm a researcher who works at the intersection of (how humans learn) and (development of statistical tools for the objective measurement of skills & knowledge). I'm particularly interested in the measurement & modeling issues in the domain. More recently I have been looking at the marriage between & Psychometric Modeling. I also build & publish packages to support my research. .
